Accidents in and around West backed up traffic Friday on Interstate 35 as many Baylor University students left for spring break. The first accident, involving three vehicles, occurred at 3 p.m. north of West.

Kansas moves closer to allowing bus travel on highway shoulders (The Kansas City Star) - Sun, 21 Feb 2010

Johnson County could soon join a small group of cities and states offering bus service on highway shoulders. The Kansas House has approved a bill that would allow buses on the shoulder of Interstate 35 between the suburbs and downtown Kansas City. The measure now goes to the Senate.
